Zelensky Reveals Details Of Conversation With Trump

The leaders agreed to co-operate.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky had a telephone conversation with US President Donald Trump on Wednesday evening, 12 February.

‘A long conversation. About the possibility to achieve peace. About our readiness to work together at the team level. About our technological capabilities, particularly drones and other advanced manufacturing. I am grateful to President Trump for his interest in what we can do together,' the Ukrainian leader wrote on his Telegram channel.

Volodymyr Zelensky also discussed Donald Trump's conversation with US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent. The parties concluded an agreement ‘on security, economic and resource co-operation’ - it involves the supply of rare earth metals to the United States in exchange for military assistance from the States.

‘Ukraine wants peace more than anyone else. We are defining our common steps with America to stop Russian aggression and guarantee a reliable, lasting peace. As President Trump said, let's get it done,’ Zelensky added.
