Zelensky In Munich: Ukraine Needs Army Of 1.5 Million

According to the Ukrainian leader, the Ukrainian army currently has fewer soldiers.

Until Ukraine becomes a NATO member state, it needs an army of 1.5 million servicemen.

This was stated on Friday, February 14, by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky during a press conference in Munich, New Voice writes.

“If we are not in NATO or until we are in NATO, we do not know, we will be able to defend ourselves with the army that is capable. That is, these are the appropriate weapons, “NATO” ones, and the appropriate number of soldiers, ours, Ukrainian,” Zelensky noted.

Speaking about the number of servicemen that are needed, the Ukrainian leader noted that we are talking about one and a half million servicemen.

“I am simply telling you the numbers that we understand with all the military. This will be an army of one and a half million,” the Ukrainian president said.

Now, according to the Ukrainian leader, the Ukrainian army has fewer soldiers.

“Today our army, which is not half as many as 1.5 million, but approximately combat brigades will be somewhere half as many as we need,” Zelensky noted.

The head of state reported that the Russian occupiers have 220 combat brigades, while Ukraine has 110.

“So, we need 220,” Volodymyr Zelensky noted.
