Study: Every Second Belarusian Has Had Office Romance

The study involved 300 Belarusian companies.
The Bitrix24 analytical center conducted a study among 300 Belarusian companies and found that 44% of respondents had had an office romance at least once in their lives. Of these, 36% dated colleagues, 5% dated subordinates, and 6% dated their boss, Office Life writes.
The study was conducted to find out how business leaders feel about romantic relationships between employees and what impact they have on the work process. The survey showed that in 85% of companies, office romances are not regulated in any way, in 10% they are prohibited or discouraged, and in 4%, on the contrary, they are encouraged.
According to 40% of respondents, personal relationships at work reduce productivity, the same number believe that they have no impact, and 20% believe that romantic relationships can, on the contrary, increase employee efficiency.
Interestingly, 13% of office romances eventually lead to the creation of a family.
