Putin Says He’s Ready To Cut Russia's Military Budget

After Trump's proposal to do so.

Russian leader Vladimir Putin supported US President Donald Trump's idea to halve defense spending in Russia, the US, and China and said he was ready to cut his country's military budget.

DW reports that Putin said this in an interview with a Russian TV channel.

“But we could come to an agreement with the United States, we are not against it. I think the idea is good: the United States would cut by 50 percent, and we would cut by 50 percent. And the People's Republic of China would then join in if they wanted. We think the proposal is good and are ready to discuss it,” Putin said.
