Musk Calls For Large-Scale Rearmament Of US Army

The Pentagon needs to bet on drones.

American billionaire and head of the Department of Government Effectiveness Elon Musk has called on the US to completely overhaul its weapons programs so as not to “miserably lose the next war,” New Voice noted.

He shared on X a message from the director of the venture capital firm Social Capital, Chamath Palihapitiya, that the US Navy plans to spend $40 billion a year over the next 30 years to service 364 ships.

Palihapitiya noted that the Navy could spend some of this amount on more than 10,000 drones to “cover the world with them.”

Musk noted that the current strategy is to create a small number of weapons at a high price to “fight yesterday’s war.”

“Unless immediate and dramatic changes are made, America will miserably lose the next war,” he added.
