Russia Strikes Odesa Port With Ballistic Missiles: Foreign Nationals Killed

A ballistic missile damaged a ship flying the flag of Barbados.
Russian troops launched a missile strike on the port of Odessa on the evening of March 11. Ships and infrastructure were damaged, foreigners were killed.
RBC-Ukraine reported, citing Oleksiy Kuleba, the Deputy Prime Minister for Ukraine's Restoration, on Telegram.
A ballistic missile damaged the ship MJ PINA flying the flag of Barbados. At the time of the strike, the ship was loading wheat for export to Algeria.
As a result of the Russian attack, four people died - citizens of Syria. The youngest deceased was 18, the oldest - 24 years old. According to Kuleba, two more people were injured: a Ukrainian and a Syrian. They are receiving the necessary assistance.
The Deputy Prime Minister added that another vessel, berths, and grain storage facilities were also damaged.

"The port infrastructure must be protected from terrorism, and that free and safe navigation be guaranteed. We must continue to strengthen our air defense, and achieve reliable peace and security by force of arms and force of diplomacy," Kuleba emphasized.

As the prosecutor's office clarified, the strike took place at about 20:17 on March 11, preliminarily by an Iskander-M ballistic missile. As a result of the attack, four foreign citizens were killed - crew members, another crew member and a port employee were injured and taken tothe hospital.
Law enforcement officers opened a criminal case on the fact of committing a war crime that resulted in the death of people (Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
