The German concern can offer more than 2000 items of equipment and weapons.
German concern Rheinmetall is ready to arm a possible peacekeeping mission in Ukraine.
This was stated by the head of the company Armin Papperger in his comments to DW.
‘So far we are talking about theoretical possibilities. There are no specific talks yet,’ he said.
According to him, Rheinmetall can offer ‘more than 2,000 items,’ but he did not name specific figures of possible deliveries.
Papperger cited as an example the supply of a German tank brigade in Lithuania, deploying which is to be completed by 2027. This could be ‘primarily tanks and armoured vehicles’.
He also mentioned the company's company-produced electronic warfare equipment and reconnaissance drones, which may be needed for control ‘when the line of demarcation is drawn.’
In this regard, he also mentioned reconnaissance satellites in which Rheinmetall is ‘now investing.’
