Ukraine To Award Kalinouski Regiment Fighters With Steel Crosses ‘For Your And Our Freedom’

Belarusian volunteers will receive Ukraine’s highest collective honor.

On March 14, the Day of the Ukrainian Volunteer, all foreign volunteers defending Ukraine will be awarded Ukraine’s highest collective honor—the Steel Cross "For Your And Our Freedom"—at the international forum "Unity and Gratitude," reports Belsat.

The list of awardees includes foreign volunteers serving in Ukraine’s security and defense forces, the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Ground Forces, the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defence, the National Guard, transport security services, and the military service coordination department of the command headquarters.

Among those receiving awards will be Belarusian fighters from the Kastus Kalinouski Regiment, soldiers of the Georgian National Legion, the Sheikh Mansur Battalion, the Freedom of Russia Legion, the Russian Volunteer Corps, the International Legion of the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine (GUR), and the International Defence Legion of Ukraine.

In addition to collective honors, at least 35 individual awards will be presented to distinguished soldiers. The awards will be handed out by Hero of Ukraine, Major General Ihor Hordiychuk, and the first recipient of the "For Courage" star, Maksim Tsarenka. Some fighters will receive their awards from the commanders of international and foreign legions.
