Ukrainian troops have seized tactical initiative from the Russians.
On the Pokrovsk direction, the Ukrainian Defense Forces have achieved significant tactical successes across several fronts simultaneously. This was reported by analyst Dmitry Snegirev during a broadcast on Freeдом.
"First, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have taken full control of the settlement of Kotlyno. Kotlyno covers the key logistics route for the Ukrainian Defense Forces — the Pokrovsk-Dnipro highway. This is a serious tactical success. The second direction — the other flank of the Pokrovsk front — is the advance of the Ukrainian Defense Forces near the settlement of Shevchenko. This has significantly expanded their area of presence," he emphasized.
According to him, Russian media note that the Ukrainian advance near Shevchenko marks a new phase in the counteroffensive led by Mikhail Drapaty (commander of the Ukrainian Ground Forces).
"At the same time, they acknowledge the fierce nature of the clashes and the significant successes of the Ukrainian Defense Forces," the analyst pointed out.
Snegirev also added that the Ukrainian Armed Forces currently have tactical initiative on the Pokrovsk front.
"After changes in personnel policy, specifically the appointment of Mikhail Drapaty as the commander of the Ukrainian Ground Forces, not only has the situation been stabilized, but, as we can see, the tactical initiative has been seized from the Russian occupiers. Further advances by the occupying forces into Ukrainian territory, particularly towards the administrative border of Dnipropetrovsk region, have been halted. Moreover, the occupiers are now forced to admit significant losses in personnel and equipment," he concluded.
