Lithuania Ready to Send Peacekeepers to Ukraine

Vilnius to Join the Coalition of the Willing.

Lithuanian Foreign Minister Kęstutis Budrys announced that his country is ready to become part of the Coalition of the Willing.

He made this statement during a press conference with Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiha in Kyiv, as reported by New Voice.

"Speaking about other elements of security assistance and our participation in ensuring security, Lithuania is ready to join the Coalition of the Willing. This means that, together with other European nations, we will take part in efforts here in Ukraine, in tasks that are yet to be defined. This will serve as further proof of our long-term commitment to supporting you in the future," Budrys emphasized.

The Lithuanian Foreign Minister stressed that Ukraine is defending its sovereignty, territorial integrity, and dignity in its struggle against the aggressor state, Russia.

According to him, it is Lithuania’s duty to support Ukrainians, particularly in the long term.
