Ukraine To Receive Record Aid From Ramstein

An impressive amount has been announced.

During today's meeting of the Contact Group on Ukraine's Defense, support for Kyiv was announced in the amount of more than 21 billion euros ($23.85 billion).

This was reported by RBC-Ukraine with a reference to the head of the British Ministry of Defense

“The new aid within the Ramstein group, announced today (April 11 — editorial note) exceeds 21 billion euros. This is a record support in military aid to Ukraine,” Gili said.

Ramstein meeting

The Ramstein meeting is the name of the regular meetings of the Contact Group on Ukraine's Defense, which unites dozens of countries around the world. The first such meeting took place back in 2022 at the American Ramstein Air Base in Germany, which is where the name comes from. The purpose of these meetings is to coordinate military assistance to Ukraine in the war against Russia, discuss defense needs, supply weapons, train military personnel and support in the long term.

Participants of Rammstein are NATO countries, the European Union, and other partners of Ukraine. These meetings have become a key platform for making decisions on the provision of tanks, air defense systems, artillery and other types of weapons.
