Europe Preparing Special Plan For Trump

To convince the US to provide security guarantees to Ukraine.

In the coming weeks, European countries intend to present to US President Donald Trump a comprehensive plan for the deployment of troops in Ukraine. The allies hope that this plan will convince the American leader to provide security guarantees to the Ukrainian state, writes Bloomberg .

In the next two weeks, military leaders intend to work out the details of how a European-led “coalition of the willing” will help ensure the security of Ukraine’s airspace, coastline and land, as well as the revival of its forces, British Defense Minister John Healey and his French counterpart Sebastien Lecornu said on Friday.

The day before, the UK Defense Secretary said that 200 military planners had drawn up a “well-developed” plan regarding how the European force would work, including proposals on how the Ukrainian military could “become the strongest possible deterrent.”

Meanwhile, head of European diplomacy Kaja Kallas said that the latest negotiations within the “coalition of the willing” did not provide clear answers to the question of how the peacekeeping mission in Ukraine will function, The Telegraph writes. According to her, different countries have different opinions on this matter, and the negotiations are ongoing.
