Belarusians are outraged by the quality of potatoes in shops.

The government has decided to slightly adjust the system of price regulation. Decree No. 389 of 10 April 2025 was published on the National Legal Internet Portal on 17 April and immediately came into force, reports «Euroradio».

In particular, the government allowed to increase the maximum selling prices of fresh potatoes, white cabbage and onions. Potatoes stand out in the list: in recent months, many Belarusians complain about the quality of the root vegetable offered in shops - most often it's very small.

Perhaps, with the relaxation of price regulation and the permission to raise the price from 76 kopeks to rubles per kilo, good potatoes will return to retail chains.

The changes also affected apples, cucumbers, beetroot and carrots.
