At the same time, the US leader noted that he is not a ‘big fan’ of the President of Ukraine.
US President Donald Trump has said that he does not consider Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky ‘responsible for the war’, but specifically noted that he is not a ‘big fan’ of the head of the Ukrainian state.
He said this on Thursday, 17 April, during the visit of Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni to Washington, The Guardian reports.
The US president said he was ‘not happy that this war started’ when he spoke about the scale of destruction in Ukraine by the occupiers.
‘I'm not accusing him (President Zelensky - ed.), but I want to say that I wouldn't say he's done the greatest job. I'm not a big fan of him. So I'm not happy with him, and I'm not happy with everybody involved,’ Trump concluded.
