China has criticized Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, who said that Beijing supplies weapons to Russia. China called Zelensky's words “baseless.”

The Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman claims that Beijing has never provided lethal weapons to any party in the “Ukrainian crisis” (as China calls the war that Russia unleashed against Ukraine).

Lin Jian called the Ukrainian president's statement regarding China “baseless.”

Zelensky accused China of supplying weapons to Russia

On Thursday, April 17, at a briefing, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that information had emerged confirming that China was supplying weapons to Russia.

“Today, we have information from the SSU and intelligence about gunpowder, artillery,” Zelensky said.

He also added that there is information that Chinese representatives are engaged in the production of weapons on Russian territory.
