At least 9 people have been killed and more than 60 injured due to a massive combined Russian attack in Kyiv on the night of 24 April. Fires in residential buildings are recorded in Kyiv because of the shelling, there is destruction, rescuers continue to search for people under the rubble.

The explosions in Kyiv occurred after midnight, when the Russian army launched a massive combined strike with Kalibr cruise missiles, Shahed kamikaze drones and ballistic weapons against the Ukrainian capital.
At around 02:00 hours, the KCMA reported the first data on the consequences of the enemy shelling. According to the agency, fires in residential and non-residential buildings broke out in several districts of Kyiv.
Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko reported two dead and 54 injured as a result of the attack as of 04:00 hours. Six children are among the injured.
Around 06:00, the State Emergency Situations Service clarified the consequences of the night shelling. According to preliminary data of rescuers, the number of dead in Kyiv increased to 9 people, another 63 - wounded, including six children.
‘There were fires in garages, administrative buildings, non-residential buildings. Cars and dry grass were on fire due to falling debris. Firefighters liquidated the fire,’ stated the message.
Also in the state emergency services released footage of the consequences of the massive attack on the capital.
In the morning, the media also released a video showing the damage in Kyiv due to the massive Russian attack at night.
Rescuers and other emergency services continue to work at the sites of enemy shelling in Kyiv. The State Emergency Situations Service noted that as of 06:00, the search for people who may have been under the rubble of destroyed buildings continued.
