Russian Federation Strikes Kharkiv 19 Times Overnight

Explosions in Kharkiv were heard throughout the night of 24 April as the Russian army was attacking the city with various types of weapons, in particular attack UAVs, cruise missiles and ballistic weapons. The air alert in Kharkiv was announced throughout the night. At about 01:00, the city was attacked by cruise missiles of the Kalibr type, which the enemy launched from the waters of the Black Sea.

At around 01:30, explosions were again heard in Kharkiv - before that the monitor groups had warned about launching ballistic missiles from the territory of Russia.

As of 02:00, Kharkiv Mayor Igor Terekhov informed that the enemy had launched seven missile strikes against the city. The Russian Armed Forces attacked Novobavarskiy district of Kharkiv, damage to residential multi-storey buildings as a result of shelling was recorded there.

In addition, the consequences of the attack were recorded in Osnovyansky district of the city.

‘There is information about the damage to private houses in Osnovyansky district of the city,’ said Terekhov.

Around 03:00, Kharkiv was attacked by Russian attack drones. A series of explosions took place in the city again.

In the morning, the Russian army attacked Kharkiv with cruise missiles for the second time during the night.

At around 05:20, Terekhov clarified the consequences of the enemy shelling. According to his data, one of the Russian strikes came to the area of dense residential buildings in the city, it is known so far about two victims there.

Also the mayor informed that in total during the night, the enemy struck Kharkiv 19 times, using 7 cruise missiles and 12 kamikaze drones.

‘A production enterprise was affected, multi-storey and private houses were damaged. All relevant services are working on the ground,’ Terekhov said.
