Zelensky: AFU Remains In Kursk And Belgorod Regions Of Russia
Vladimir Zelensky

The fighting is fierce.

Ukrainian servicemen remain in Russia's Kursk and Belgorod regions. This was stated by Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky after the report of the Commander-in-Chief of the AFU Alexander Syrsky on the situation on the front.

"Our military continue active defense actions on the territory of certain areas of Kursk and Belgorod regions," he noted.

He said that in many directions of the front the situation remains difficult.

"Already by the middle of this day alone there have been almost 70 Russian assaults on our positions. The fighting continues. The occupant continues to attempt offensives... The most fighting is in the Pokrovsk, Kramatorsk, Limansk and Kursk directions," the President noted, expressing gratitude to "every brigade that protects Ukrainian positions and demonstrates the stability so necessary for Ukraine".

Zelensky emphasized that Ukraine continues to defend its independence and land in battles, while Russia continues to ignore the U.S. call for a cease-fire.

"The situation on the front and the real activity of the Russian army prove that the world's pressure on Russia to end this war is not enough. Soon it will be fifty days since the Russian Federation ignores the United States' proposal for a complete and unconditional ceasefire. Ukraine accepted this offer back on March 11. More tangible pressure on Russia is needed to give more opportunities for real diplomacy," he stated.
