Parents are outraged by the "night shifts" their children are forced to do.
- I want the whole country to know: our student children march at night, reader Hanna wrote to the editorial board of the Charter97.org website.
The other day, my student son was really upset, I started asking him what was going on. And he complained to me: "Mom, I wish this parade would pass already! Do you know that they are forcing us to march through the streets of Minsk at night?"
Nothing special, it's just that from 01:00 to 03:00 they learn to walk in step, keep their posture straight and look only to the right. And in the morning at 08:00 they must already be sitting in class.
They can't force Minsk students, so they wake the poor guys up and take them from the dorm to the night classes in a centralized manner. It is practically impossible to refuse.
If you don't agree, then grab your things and move out of the dorm! That's why everyone is so tired, but they are forced to attend the "night shift". I was lost for words after such news.
I don't know how I can help him. If I tell him not to go to classes, he will be expelled; if he doesn't go to the march, he will be kicked out of the dorm. And we can't afford to even rent a room in the capital.
How much longer can they torture our children? They are persons first and foremost, not biomachines that perform the function of living dolls at a parade to amuse an elderly dictator.
