Drones Attack ‘Mozdok’ Airfield In North Ossetia

There were at least 15 drones.

Unknown drones attacked a Russian military airfield in Mozdok (North Ossetia, Russian Federation). This is reported by ‘Astra’ with reference to eyewitnesses.

The governor of North Ossetia-Alania Sergey Menyailo announced the drone danger regime at 04:14. He then reported that 15 UAVs were allegedly shot down in Mozdok.

‘An attack of unmanned aerial vehicles has been repelled in Mozdok district. According to the Russian Defence Ministry, air defence systems destroyed 15 drones. There are no casualties and destruction,‘ he said on Telegram.

‘Astra has geolocated a photo with smoke after the attack in Mozdok - the footage was taken near the building of the district palace of culture. This is about 6 kilometres from the airbase. Residents of the town report that the attack was aimed specifically at the airfield.

The Mozdok airfield was previously damaged in an attack in July 2024. The consequences of that attack have not been reported.

However, the Defence Ministry of the occupying country said about a massive drone attack on the night of 9 April. It is noted that 158 UAVs were allegedly shot down, including 15 over the territory of North Ossetia-Alania.
