Will Ukraine Join The EU Before 2030?

Stefanyshyn named a new deadline for the country's readiness.

Ukraine wants to fully meet the criteria for EU membership by 2027. Right now, the country is sticking to the timings it has set for itself.

The Vice Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration of Ukraine Olga Stefanyshyna announced this.

Stefanyshyna was asked whether it could be ironclad that Ukraine would become a member of the European Union by 2030.

The official emphasized that she has a "clear timing" that Ukraine is sticking to. At the same time, Ukraine's vision coincides with the vision of some EU countries.

- I cannot share this timing, but I can say that all obligations for which Ukraine does not require transitional periods or certain exceptions, we count on the period until 2027," she added.
