India For The First Time Confirmed Strikes On Military Targets In Pakistan

The commander of the Indian Army's air wing gave details.

India has confirmed it has struck military installations in Pakistan for the first time since the escalation. But the targets of the attacks were not named.

It was reported by The Times of India quoting Indian Army Air Wing Commander Veomik Singh.

"In a swift and calibrated response, the Indian armed forces launched precision strikes only on designated military targets," he said.

The Indian commander's statement came after Pakistan announced a military operation against India and launched strikes. The wing commander denied Pakistan's claims that an Indian S-400 air defense system was allegedly destroyed and information about the destruction of airfields in Surat and Sirsa.

The Indian commander also said that Pakistani troops were allegedly seen moving towards India's borders, which he said "indicates an offensive intent to further escalate."

India's Defense Ministry also says Pakistan used drones and other weapons in the attack, but they allegedly did not damage Indian military infrastructure. India also said Pakistan used high-speed missiles on an airbase in Punjab.

In total, the Indian military says 26 Indian cities were hit and civilian targets were allegedly damaged.
