Kremlin Issues New Ultimatum For Ceasefire In Ukraine

Peskov voiced Moscow's new demand.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitri Peskov voiced a new condition of aggressor country Russia for a ceasefire in Ukraine, saying the West must stop supplying weapons to Kiev. He said this in an interview with ABC News.

"Otherwise it will be an advantage for Ukraine. Ukraine will continue its total mobilization, moving new troops to the front lines. Ukraine will use this period to train new troops and to give rest to the existing ones," Peskov cynically asserted.

He also repeated the Russian narrative that Ukraine is allegedly "not ready for immediate negotiations," denying that dictator Vladimir Putin is stalling.

The head of the RNBO Center for Countering Disinformation Andrey Kovalenko reacted to new ultimatums from Moscow, which continues to supply the lion's share of ammunition from the DPRK to the front. He noted that the Russian Federation continues to show that it does not want peace.

"Moscow's logic: you give up weapons, and we will agree to a 30-day [ceasefire], although we will not stop the front, we will continue to take ammunition from the DPRK, and after 30 days we will not stop either and will figure out how to continue the war further," Kovalenko wrote.
