Ukraine is ready for a full 30-day unconditional ceasefire starting Monday.
Leaders of the "coalition of the resolute" called US President Donald Trump after a meeting in Kiev. Russia was given a deadline to agree to a ceasefire.
This was reported by RBC-Ukraine, citing Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sibiga on X (Twitter).
He noted that Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky, as well as French leader Emmanuel Macron, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, Polish and British Prime Ministers Donald Tusk and Kir Starmer spoke by phone with Trump after the "coalition of the resolute" meeting in Kiev.
"Ukraine and all allies are ready for a full unconditional ceasefire on land, in the air and at sea for at least 30 days, starting as early as Monday (May 12, - ed.)," Sibiga said.
The foreign minister said that if Russia agrees and effective monitoring is ensured, a prolonged ceasefire and confidence-building measures could pave the way for peace talks.
Meeting of a "coalition of the resolute"
Reminder that today, May 10, the leaders of four European countries - French President Emmanuel Macron, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, and Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk - arrived in Kiev.
The "coalition of the resolute", which aims to ensure peace in Ukraine after the ceasefire and the end of the war, met in Kiev. The coalition is discussing the possibility of sending European troops to Ukraine.
