The ceasefire lasted only a few hours.
Just hours after Pakistan and India agreed to a ceasefire, explosions were heard again in the Indian city of Srinagar in the state of Jammu and Kashmir, Sky News.
The renewed blasts were reported by the region's chief Omar Abdullah in a post on platform X.
"What the hell just happened to the ceasefire? Explosions can be heard all over Srinagar," he wrote.
This is no ceasefire. The air defense units in the middle of Srinagar just opened up. pic.twitter.com/HjRh2V3iNW

In his next post, Abdullah published a video that he claims shows the air defense units in Srinagar working. The publication noted, however, that it was not yet possible to verify when the video released by Abdullah was taken.
In the meantime, Indian correspondent Neville Lazarus said local journalists had confirmed to him that the blasts had resumed.
"And if this is true, there will be no ceasefire. India will strike with a vengeance," he noted.
