The AFU Attacked One Of Russia's Largest Chemical Plants

The strike was carried out by the drone "Lute".

On the night of May 12, a Ukrainian AN-196 Lyuty kamikaze drone attacked one of the largest chemical enterprises in southern Russia, the Kamensky plant in the Rostov region. The drone went down on the territory of the plant around 5 a.m., writes "Observer".

SHOT reported. The drone was allegedly suppressed by electronic warfare systems (REB), there were no casualties or serious damage.

It is worth noting that the Kamensky plant is not just a factory, but a city-forming enterprise for Kamensk-Shakhtinskoye, producing important chemical products.

"Lyutiy" is a long-range kamikaze drone developed back at the beginning of the full-scale war as a response to Russian attacks using Shaheds. After the initial use of Turkey's Bayraktar TB2, the AFU began actively building their own drones. The first combat use of the Lyutoy has been recorded since 2023, and since that time it has been regularly used to target military and industrial targets deep behind Russian lines.
