Residents Of Russia's Belgorod Region "framing" Cars For Drones

They want to be compensated.

Residents of the Belgorod region of Russia purposely leave their old cars on the street in the hope that they will be damaged by drones. This is how they are trying to get compensation.

The Governor of Belgorod region Vyacheslav Gladkov stated this, reports "Meduza".

"Relatives talk: our village is being shelled, let's roll the car out of the garage, maybe it will be shelled - at least we'll get money. The car is old, it can't go anywhere, it can't be sold," said Gladkov.

He demanded that during his rounds residents should be asked to hide their cars in garages.

Also, according to the governor, groups of residents are being formed in Belgorod region, who demand eviction "before the war is over" in order not to live in old houses.

Gladkov appealed to officials to warn residents that if such machinations continue, criminal liability is threatened for this, among other things.

"We do not have the task of improving the material security of our residents - in these directions. We have a task to help the residents to cope with the extremely difficult situation through federal and regional support measures. But fraudulent actions begin to repeat more and more often," he added.
