Indian engineers have developed Asia's first race car made from garbage. The car was created as part of a campaign for Earth Day.
The electric racing car was made by Envision Energy together with the organization EARTHDAY.ORG and was named Recover-E. The car was assembled from discarded electronics - discarded smartphones, laptops and tablets. The world's first race car made of electronic waste appeared in Manchester, England: the mechanism was based on a modified drive from a beach buggy, and other parts used included an iPhone, electronic cigarettes, a 50s radio, a price tag gun, Nintendo Wii controllers, a Sony VR headset and an electric fly swatter.
