A group of four soldiers of the 2nd Department of the 322nd Special Operations Center (v/h 92154, Solnechnogorsk) carried out a combat mission near the state border between Ukraine and the Russian Federation.
At an attempt to penetrate the Ukrainian territory there was an explosion on a stretching device, which led to the death of two servicemen: Lieutenant Luzgin Anatoly; Lieutenant Oshkin Dmitry.
The group commander canceled the operation After the tragedy, the group commander, known by the call sign "G.," decided to terminate the operation and retreat.
The incident underscores the risks the Russian military faces when conducting sabotage sorties in border areas.
One More Failure
Experts say that another failed operation indicates poor training of Russian sabotage groups and underestimation of the mine danger on the Ukrainian border. The infiltration attempt resulted in serious losses and a forced retreat. Russian military sources have not yet commented on what happened, but the incident has already caused a resonance on social media and among military experts.
