US President Donald Trump has hinted at a possible breakthrough on ending the war in Ukraine, saying that "good news" could emerge in the coming days.

He said this during a meeting with Qatar's Emir Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani in Doha, without providing any specific details.

"Today, tomorrow or maybe Friday we will see something very good," Trump said, referring to the situation around Ukraine.
