Nina Baginskaya

Lukashists have scheduled a "trial" in Pershamaiski District Court of Minsk.

The trial of 78-year-old Nina Baginskaya, who is accused of "repeated violation of the order of organizing or holding mass events," will begin on May 30, reports "Belsat" citing its sources.

According to "Belsat," the hearing in Baginskaya's case is scheduled for 10.30 May 30 in Pershamaiski district court in Minsk. The charges are based on administrative protocols and court decisions from 2024.

Reminder, the woman is charged with Article 342-2 of the Criminal Code (Repeated violation of the order of organizing or holding mass events). The reason for criminal prosecution was walking with white-red-white badges on her clothes and the demonstration of national symbols in the streets of Minsk in 2024, reported human rights activists.

According to "Viasna," Nina Baginskaya was brought to administrative responsibility under Article 24.23 of the Administrative Code (Unauthorized picketing) three times in 2024. The total amount of fines amounted to 7200 rubles. In addition, five more protocols were drawn up against her.

"This is the seventh case of this article since its introduction into the Crimean Criminal Code that has reached the court. It is worth noting that during the investigation of the Crimean case Nina Baginskaya was taken for psychiatric examination several times," "Viasna" reports.
