Senior political adviser to President Donald Trump Stephen Miller has become one of the main contenders for the post of national security adviser. This is according to Axios, citing five knowledgeable sources.
It is noted that Miller - deputy White House chief of staff and author of Trump's tough immigration policy - is one of the president's longest-serving and most trusted aides.
Miller is already serving as homeland security adviser and is actively promoting the administration's initiative to immediately deport illegal immigrants without court hearings.
