The European Parliament Spoke In Defense Of Political Prisoner Viktoria Kulsha

The European Union was urged to impose new sanctions against Lukashenko's regime.

The Bureau of the European Parliament Delegation for Relations with Belarus issued a statement on the hunger strike of political prisoner Viktoria Kulsha, Viasna reports. This is her sixth hunger strike since her detention in protest against her illegal captivity.

The European Parliament called on the Belarusian authorities to provide Victoria with immediate access to medical care and to stop all forms of political persecution against her and other peaceful activists in Belarus.

The European Parliament also called on the European Union to impose targeted sanctions against those responsible for the persecution of Victoria Kulsha, as well as to intensify diplomatic efforts aimed at ensuring the protection of her rights and freedoms.
