But he will still go to Moscow on May 9.
Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fitzo is angry over Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky's statement about security in Moscow on May 9. But Fitzo is going to the parade anyway.
According to the Slovakian publication Sme.
Fitzo called Zelensky's words that Ukraine cannot be held responsible for the events in Moscow on May 9 a threat.
"It is a great disrespect when someone says to the country that had the greatest share in the victory over fascism and suffered the greatest losses: Celebrate, we can drop a drone on you. This has no place in modern politics," the Slovak prime minister said.
Fitzo said Zelensky was wrong if he thought his statement would lead to foreign delegations refusing to participate in the parade in Moscow. He added that he himself was "just going" to Moscow for the celebrations.
"I am going to express my respect and honor to the nation that played a decisive role in defeating Hitler, the nation that suffered the most," he said.
According to Slovak media, Fitzo will be the only EU leader to attend the parade in Moscow on May 9.
