Ukrainian Special Services Staged Sabotage Against The Russian Armed Forces In Syria

Russian military in Syria are becoming victims of sabotage, because of which the Russian Federation has asked Syria to take immediate measures to stop it.

According to Defense Express, the Russian Federation appealed to the new Syrian authorities, in particular Abu Muhammad al-Jolani, to take immediate measures because of sabotage attacks by Ukrainian security services on the Hmeimim airbase. Such calls were made to the Syrian authorities in late April, when the Hmeimim airbase was attacked.

Thanks to the successful actions of Ukrainian special forces, the base's radio communications center and power substation were taken out of service, and on April 28, a Russian Il-76 transport plane was fired on from available small arms. As a result, the liquidation of two Russian servicemen was confirmed, with their documents subsequently appearing online.

To protect its assets in Syria, the Russian Federation has promised Damascus $5 million in humanitarian food aid through the UN World Food Program.
